With its excellent transport connections and crossroad location, port terminal Balchik is a convenient “bridge” for the cargo flows between Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Caucasus, Middle Asia, Middle and Far East. Port Balchik is linked to the transport network of Bulgaria through motor ways, part of the Balchik infrastructure. The port terminal is linked directly to the Black Sea. The vessels approach from the sea to the berth following the navigation fairway, determined by Executive Agency Maritime Administration. Pilotage is compulsory. About 300m before the berth vessels are met by a tug boat, as the number and the power of the tug boats depend on the capacity of the ship.
